:icononiondiplomaplz: 12 Kingdoms features a rich, detailed world with many cultures and interesting backgrounds. So the question is, how do YOU want to explore it? :D
Meet new cultures? Explore new Kingdoms?
Build a Kingdom?
Unlock the mysteries of the past?
Fight the demons in the present?
Forge new alliances and gain allies?

There are many opportunities to explore 12 Kingdoms - and information available in the folder descriptions as we update. We accept written and artistic submissions without problems! :D So how do you want to explore? You can do as many or as few as you want - but if you want to chat RP, PLEASE COMMENT. :D

:icononioncheer1plz: Options: :icononioncheer2plz:
Artistic Role Playing: Explore your character, their history, what makes them tick, the world, and new allies by drawing illustrations/rendering 3D art or making comics for them.

Written Role Playing: Just as above, but writing everything in story or description format.

Chat Role Playing: Join the Kingdoms chat to explore the world and interact!

:icononioncuriousplz: FAQ: :iconnyorononionplz:
Q: Can my OC begin as a senshi?
A: No. Exploring may unlock that feature, but there are reasons why this is a lost and forgotten class in the world. Take this opportunity to define your character and make them in the end a stronger one! :D

Q: Can I join as a contributor/Join as an admin?
A: No. However, if you show willingness to work, build characters, and so on.... it's possible to become one through earning it in other words.

Q: When will the chats happen?
A: Commenting on this journal stating intent to Chat will sign you up. Once that happens, we can schedule the first chat.

Q: What if I can't draw, but still want to join?
A: Written submissions, or even credited base works, are allowed.

Q: Why was I asked for name changes?
A: The point is to submerse yourself in the World. If your OC were born in rural China, far from civilization, for example, would they have an American name? Not unless their parents were American or they travelled enough. And travelling is often a game for those with more money or no holdings at all. If your parents had a farm, they'd be too busy to do world travelling - and likely couldn't afford to anyway.
Think of it this way - if you were reading Journey to the West, and then suddenly, there was a modern, American English name for no reason, it would be jarring, right? It wouldn't fit, and takes a reader out of the world and the moment or emotion of the time. The same is true for RPing. If your OC's app sheet greatly mismatches the place of origin, it's jarring and suspends belief of your OC to the point that they're no longer taken as a serious character. Nobody wants that, right?

Q: What's a noble's job?
A: Nobles, despite beliefs to the contrary, are very busy people. They don't have a lot of free time if they're running things. Even if they aren't, they're expected to work with a tutor, learn to walk right, or other expectations of what a noble should know. It's a lot of hard work for the "reward" of money and power. Some Kingdoms noble families are even rumoured to continue the practice of arranged marriage....
In Kinmoku, for example, nobles are usually expected to participate in government at some level -- they may serve on the Council of Nobles, for example, or as ambassadors. They will lead the people or undertake dangerous missions if required to for the security of the kingdoms.
Nobles are expected to adhere to the Command Structure - or face consequences which may include loss of status or lands in severe cases.
The Emperor and Empress are at the top. The palace employees answer directly to them. The tribal chieftains answer to the Emperor and Empress but are supreme in their regions, and have their own "nobles" below them within their territories. Children or relatives of nobles often take service with the Imperial Palace (like Seiya and Taiki do in their respective positions).
Nobles of Serenitatus are considered the people in charge in their territory (except in emergencies). However, once they leave their territory, they're answerable to the Emperor/Empress of Kinmoku and to higher-ranking members of their own nation. Serenitatus has Kinmokuan Advisors running or advising most functions because at the time they joined the empire, they had a failing economy and a poor foreign relations record. It was considered a loss to Kinmoku to accept the Kingdom.

Further questions? Comment! They will be answered here as well! :D
